Her clients and the local business community have consistently recognized Dr. Chan as a top chiropractor in Toronto (InsideToronto.com’s Reader’s Choice Awards and Opencare’s Patients Choice Winner).

Dr. Chan’s passion for fitness and wellness began at an early age.  Born and raised in Toronto, Ontario, she was an avid athlete throughout elementary and high school and was awarded with many athlete and academic achievements.   Dr. Chan decided that she wanted a career in health care and attended the University of Toronto where she obtained a Bachelor degree in Physical Education & Health.  Intrigued by natural and holistic methods for healing and well-being (and a desire to live in another part of the world), she then attended Logan College of Chiropractic in Chesterfield, Missouri where she obtained her Doctorate degree in Chiropractic and Masters Degree in Sports Science and Rehabilitation. Shortly after completing her chiropractic study, she returned to Toronto.

Dr. Chan’s diverse athletic activities (as a former competitive dragonboater and beach volleyball player) have played an important role in shaping her health and wellness philosophies.  As a former competitive dragonboater and beach volleyball player, Dr. Chan developed a disciplined and sensible approach to diet, physical exercise and mental well-being to enhance her athletic performance.  While Dr. Chan no longer competes, she still combines a healthy diet with mental and physical therapeutics  to ensure she is living each day to the fullest.

Dr. Chan’s professional focus is in the area of 1) family wellness health care, 2) pre- and postnatal fitness and healthcare, and 3) sports-related performance enhancement and injuries.  She practices a number of different chiropractic techniques, which include: Diversified, Sacro-Occipital and Gonstead Technique (manual adjusting), the Thompson Technique (Drop-Table adjusting) and she is also Webster Technique certified (prenatal and postnatal care).  She also uses muscle release therapy which is designed to break down scar tissue, restore proper strength and function to the muscle tissue.

Dr. Chan is also a member in good standing with the Canadian Chiropractic Association and with the Ontario Chiropractic Association and continually upgrades her skills and knowledge annually.  Dr. Chan likes to volunteer for cause she believes in and has worked with groups such as the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (Track & Field), the St. Louis Youth Soccer Association, the Ovarian Cancer Society, and The Linden Fund’s Pedals for Preemies.   While Dr. Chan is not practicing chiropractic, she spends time with her family enjoys engaging in leisurely sports such as golf, running, snowboarding and yoga.
