Dr. Eva Chan

Dr. Eva Chan was born and raised in Toronto, Ontario. Before entering chiropractic college, Dr. Chan spent four years at the University of Toronto and obtained a bachelors degree in Physical Education & Health. After graduating from Logan College of Chiropractic in Chesterfield, Missouri where she obtained her Doctorate degree in Chiropractic and Masters Degree in Sports Science and Rehabilitation, she returned to Toronto.

Dr. Chan has a diverse athletic background. A previous dragonboater, she now spends her leisure time playing volleyball and golf, running, snowboarding and practicing yoga. With a background in athletic therapy, she has volunteered her time at the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (Track & Field) and the St. Louis Youth Soccer Association. Dr. Chan’s professional focus is in the area of family wellness (preventative) health care, as well as, sports-related injuries. She continually upgrades her skills and knowledge by attending numerous seminars each year.

Dr. Chan practices a number of different chiropractic techniques, which include: Diversified, Sacro-Occipital and Gonstead Technique (manual adjusting), as well as, Thompson Technique (Drop-Table adjusting). Dr. Chan uses muscle release therapy which is designed to break down scar tissue, restore proper strength and function to the muscle tissue. She also uses Nimmo technique, which is another soft-tissue (muscle) technique that focuses on releasing localized muscle spasms. Dr. Chan is a Certified KinesioTape ® Practioner (CKTP), which involves the use of KinesioTape® that is applied over muscles to reduce pain and inflammation, to relax overused or tired muscles and to support muscles in movement on a 24 hour per day basis.
